To commemorate Canada’s 150th anniversary, the Philippine Cultural Center Foundation (PCCF) of Calgary held a special performance. Handog (gift in English) was a literal gift to Canada to celebrate the 150th birthday and to thank the country many Filipinos now call home. It was an opportunity to celebrate the country’s multiculturalism and the respect and recognition Canada gives to its people’s diverse cultures.

Showcasing the skills and talents of the PCCF students learned at the center, Handog featured music and dances from the Cordillera and tribal, Maria Clara, Muslim and Countryside suites of the Philippine culture. Joining the PCCF students were the Tamaraw Seniors Club and Young Once Seniors Club.
